GST Council Meeting was held today in Delhi and from Tamilnadu, it is Fisheries Minister “D Jayakumar,” who attended the meeting. After the meeting, Jayakumar informed that the cinema theater ticket prices would be brought down, as the GST Council minimized the GST from 28% to 18% for the theater ticket price. Following this, some of the theaters announced the revised ticket rates.
Now, it is heard that there are just 34 items in 28% GST slab. Tires, Li-ion power banks, Footwears, cameras, video game consoles, bank services for the basic savings account, TVs and monitors, air-travel of pilgrims, frozen veggies along with movie ticket prices are going to be cheaper.
