In this film, Luthfudeen has a lip-lock scene with his co-star Narelle Kheng, the Singapore actress. Luthfudeen was quoted saying, "I think it is only in our state that lip-lock scenes are considered taboo. I had no apprehension about kissing on screen. Also, my co-star is a Singaporean, and she was comfortable with it. That scene was already in the script, and so, I was prepared for it. But then, considering that it's a Tamil film, I wanted to ask the director if there was any other alternative, but even before that, the director went for the take. However, I Okayed it in one take. My parents understand it's just a film. Even violent murder scenes are shown on screen. While they are taken lightly, lip-lock becomes an issue."
