Without revealing the reason, the movie had been rejected by the Censor Board. The 8-day protest by the Tamils to sustain their cultural sports Jallikkattu, made the entire world turn back at them.

Info-communications Media Development Authorities of Singapore censored it and mentioned it as the film that speaks about the Tamil cultural sports Jallikkattu.
The makers had filed a case in Madras High Court and the judges asked the Censor Board to reveal the reason for denying the film.
