He says 30% tax exemption for ‘U’ rated films has a huge impact on the budget but, ‘Pisasu’ was certified ‘A’ stating it is a horror flick, though the essence was only that human shouldn’t be afraid of anything unknown.
If films are going to be certified ‘A’, children must watch movie like ‘My dear kuttichaathan’ and nothing more than that. What if I wanted to fire someone? Do you think I can say poda chellam? Does it sound realistic? Only mediocre cinema does that. “A theatre doesn’t differentiate anybody based on their caste or creed. Movie should be realistic and it shouldn’t cheat its audience.”
He openly stated that his next film would be a complete ‘A’ rated and requested women and children not to come to theatres.
