’ starring the young supestar Ilayathalapathy Vijay, has opened up last Sunday. In the theaters of Tamil Nadu, all the shows went houseful and the tickets for the next day shows are filling fast. Usually, the films of superstar have a huge release with more than 80% of screens and shows within the first weekend but, ‘Theri’ of Vijay has been creating a new record. A stunning record of 124 shows for ‘Theri’ has been allotted in the SPI Cinemas, which has five branches in Chennai and one in Coimbatore. This film proved to have the highest number of shows allocated in the swanky Mall.
The earlier record was of Superstar Rajnikanth’s Lingaa, which had a record of 104 shows. ‘Theri’ has created a record even in the Jazz Cinemas in Chennai, where, all the tickets for all 33 shows were already booked. Theri is being directed by Atlee Kumar and produced by Kalapuli S Thaanu.
