The Chennai Divison’s Passport office hosts a special Passport Mela on 8th April. The registration for the special Mela starts today at 2:30 PM. The passport service centers at Saligramam, Tambaram, Amijikkarai (Nelson Manickam Road) works on Saturday 8th April, as usual. The public could fill the forms and submit it at the passport centers. To take part in the Passport Mela, the participants should register at the official website of the passport office, www.passportindia.gov.in. After registering online, they have to get the register number and pay the application fee and get their time to participate in the Mela through advance booking. After they get the pre-booking time, they should bring a print out copy of the ARN. All the necessary documents (original) should be brought to the office. It is predicted that nearly 2500 people would be benefitted through this Mela.
