Director Iyenar directed movie titled Uruthi Kol. The director seems to have fought for the censor clearance for three months and obtained the clearance from the censor board. The movie is produced under the banner APK Films and Jai Sneham Films. The movie was intended to be released on October 6th. Since there was the issue regarding the GST the movie did not release in theaters. The producer council said that new movies could be screened on November 3rd. The movie producers consented to the instruction and the movie is to hit the screens. The movie’s director has said that it is difficult to make movie and release it if the movie is a small venture. Initially, we have titled the movie as Ethirkol. Also, they gave the title registration certificate.
When we were into the publicity of the movie, two people said that they had registered the title. I did not want to get into a tussle with them. So, the movie title has been changed to Uruthikol. We managed to take the movie to the censor. The first committee rejected saying that there are violence scene and a lot of rape scenes. We went for the revise committee and two shots were censored. The censor gave a certificate of U/A to the movie. For big movie the censor allows a number of bad scenes. They target small ventures alone. We have battled for three months and have obtained the censor. The movie could be viewed by all of the audiences, said the director.
