The director made it clear in a daily, that the rumor is completely baseless and said, "My directorial film and my film with 'Suseenthiran's Paayum Puli as cinematographer were started rolling at the same time and I was simultaneously keep working on both the films by switching between schedules, but at one point I was stuck with Paayumpuli shoot for a few days. Meantime My team shot few fight sequences with Dhanush, though I was not cinematographer of the movie these shots did not require my physical presence."
