Vietnam Veedu Sundaram
, the popular scriptwriter and theater artist, breathed his last, today morning. He is 73-years-old. Due to the age-related health ailments, Sundaram passed away around 6 am at his house in T Nagar. Sundaram was popular for his first play, Vietnam Veedu in the 60s. Later in 1970, the play was filmed in the same name with
Sivaji Ganesan
and “
Padmini
.” With his excellent scripts like Vietnam Veedu, Gnana Oli and Gouravam, he came to the limelight. Many of his social message oriented dramas were made in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu. He had directed family oriented movies and had been performing in Tamil teleserials. He made his debut as a TV actor with
My Dear Bootham
. His last serial is “
Valli
,” which is being aired on Sun TV. He had been a part of nearly, 18 serials. Sundaram had scripted for all the big heads including “
