He has raised the question in the social networking page. The case regarding making the National Anthem mandatory has come for hearing in presence of the magistrates. The High Court conveyed that there is no need for the masses to stand up when the National Anthem is being played. Arvind Swamy spoke on the development. I always stand up and happily recite the National Anthem when it is being sung.
But, I was not able to make out why it has been made mandatory in the theaters. The National Anthem could be played in government offices, courts, assembly and parliament sessions.
