for movie Srimanthudu. Now, both the director and the actor are in trouble following issues of plagiarism about the movie. Novelist RD Wilson has filed a petition against the story of the movie. A local court seems to have issued summons to Mahesh Babu, director Koratala Siva and the producers Mythri Makers to make an appearance in the court on March 3rd.
The novelist seems to have accused Koratala and others of copying story and scenes of Srimanthudu from his serial Chachenta Prema. The serial was published in Swathi weekly during 2012. He had published the story under the pen name of Sarath Chandra. But, a stay has been issued on the orders, since the actor Mahesh Babu is busy with the movies. While the case about copyright violations is yet to be considered, Mahesh Babu and the director received relief from turning up to the court.
