who took up the direction of his debutant movie Baanam. The movie was also a directorial debut for Chaitanya and fared averagely at the box-office. But, the movie managed to get good reviews, and to some extent, it also had a critical acclaim. But anyhow, Chaitanya took very long to direct his second directorial, and it happened to be not the worth the wait.
The second directorial Basanti featuring Goutam, who is the son of Brahmanandam was a flop at the box-office. Since then, Chaitanya seems to have been struggling much and finally eh got some relief with Rohit offering him an opportunity. Chaitanya is said to have related a story to Nara Rohit recently, and the actor has given the nod to it. The movie happens to be a very strong story which is set against a political backdrop.
