. Reportedly, Samantha is doing the role of Jamuna who happened to be a rival in the profession for Savitri. Reports are abuzz that Jamuna was equally as popular as Savitri, but she had to give up many movies due to Savitri.
It is to be noted that Savitri and Jamuna were friends, but later, they developed a difference of opinion. The actresses had done roles in good movies as Missamma. But, after the clash between the two, Jamuna said to the producers that she would not do movies starring Savitri. It is to be noted that director Nag Ashwin is to make the movie more engrossing. The script has been designed in such a way that Savitri and Jamuna will appear in competitive roles. The first look reveals it well.
