Congress - Telugu Desam, Bharatiya Janata alliance and Telangana Rashtra Samithi fight for the power. 446 flying squads are appointed. The liquor ban is in progress until the election gets over. However, it is to be noted that unaccounted alcohol worth Rs 129 crore had been seized. For the first time, the voters are provided with an acknowledgment to know whom they voted. 32, 815 poll booths are set up for 2, 80, 00, 000 voters. 1821 people including a transgender are contesting in the election.
