Plot

Stephanie Smothers is a widowed mother. She is a vlogger. She posts videos relating to crafts and cooking. These videos of her are very famous, especially among parents. Emily Nelson is a PR director at a fashion company. Stephanie and Emily became friends when they knew that their sons were in the same school. They became this close that Emily once invited them to her home. Stephanie got surprised to see her house. But Emily laughs at her surprised face. Emily says that her husband is a professor at the university. They start talking with each other. They even shared their secrets. Now they are very close friends. Sometimes Emily tells Stephanie to take care of her child too. One day Emily went missing. Stephanie became stressed when she heard that Emily is missing. Where is Emily? What happened to her? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Anna Kendrick did an incredible performance in the movie. Her journey to find Emily and know the truth was brilliant. Her detailing of the character was outstanding. Her acting, and dialogue delivery was perfect. One would love her after watching this movie. That much impact she made in the whole film. Blake Lively did a fantastic performance in the movie. She shows the nature of a greedy person. Her chemistry with Anna Kendrick was excellent in the film. Her acting was factual and natural. Jean Smart did a remarkable performance in the film. Her acting seems real and she shows originality in her acting. Her role was minor but still made a major impact in the movie. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.

Analysis

The storyline of the film was great, thrilling, interesting, and entertaining —the film focus on the central theme of greed. The movie is from a novel called A Simple Favor by Darcey Bell. The film is not a good adaption of novel series. The suspicious nature of the film is maintained from the start till the end. The film have so many twist, and suspense which is very enjoyable to watch. The storyline in the film were interesting. The direction, cinematography and costume design was perfect in the movie. At a certain point, the film becomes dull. The movie has a completely new concept. The plot of the film seems to be misarranged. The thrilling journey of Stephanie to find her friend was incredible. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were excellent.
