Plot

Two best friends Beth and Anna pursue an acting career. Beth is successful while Anna is still struggling with her career. They plan a vacation to Big Sur. Being isolated in the same place they realize that they are not as close as they used to be. Driven by competition and jealousy their relationship crumbles. Anna acts better than Beth. Anna overhears Beth talking to her boyfriend about how she is jealous of Anna and how she lied about sending Anna’s reel to her agent. After the phone call, they both get into a physical fight and go into the woods while Anna chases Beth. The next day, Anna acts like Beth and steals her identity. A series of uptight events follow between these two women.

Star Performance

Mackenzie Davis and Caitlin FitzGerald did a great job portraying their characters, Anna and Beth.

Analysis

This is a psychological thriller about two women. Beth and Anna are childhood friends. Both of them are slim and blonde but their personalities completely differ. Beth is girly and passive while Anna is intimidating and emotional. They pretend to be good friends but the truth is that they have reached the point where their friendship broke due to jealousy. They go on a vacation to Big Sur and reveal their true intentions to each other there.

  • It has a bad ending
  • It is a bit lacking in some areas

Verdict

This movie is enjoyable. It is very interesting although it has a bad ending which will drop the expectations of the movie.
