Another exciting zombie movie is here!! However, this isn’t just a movie. Jopia Production’s blockbuster “Apocalypse” is not just a movie for the fans but by the fans…The biggest difference between this and various other zombie movies is that this film has been created with the zombie fans and has over 15 countries involved. It gives us an insight into the minds of diehard zombie fanatics. What’s even exciting is that “Apocalypse” has a huge part of its screenplay written by the zombie fans themselves!!

Plot: It all begins when a scientist accidentally releases an enzyme containing a deadly virus out into the outside world. When one single mistake becomes the cause of a deadly worldwide apocalypse, the scientist entrusts his cataclysmic findings to the extremely troubled ex-war correspondent, Katya Nevin (Ruth Galliers). Katya being an anchorwoman at WW News starts receiving video feeds from around the globe about a massive collapse of society. She realizes that she is now trapped and helpless within the confines of her six storey news channel studio.

The place she once called her “Second Home” has now ironically become her “prison.” Armed with only limited information and an indomitable will to live, Katya tries to make it out of the studio and into a terrifying world where only the dead can survive. Katya’s attempts to reach her boyfriend on the outside, however, turn futile as a deadly special agent climbs the building floor by floor. His only goal on mind is to make sure that Katya remains silent. Is this the end of the world? Will Katya finally manage to escape from the clutches of this evil man? Watch the movie to find out more!!

Analysis: As you can observe, every zombie movie starts with a virus being released into the outside world. There is nothing seemingly new about this film. However, if you are a zombie fan yourself, then you will no doubt enjoy this movie to the fullest! The makeup is so realistic that it is sure to make you squirm around in your seats. The sound and special effects too are bone chilling.

Star Performances: Ruth Galleries's acting is natural and gripping. She is also well known for her earlier two movies- “Pubmonkey” and “Way of the Monkey’s Claw.” Her acting in “Apocalypse” is noteworthy and admirable.

What's There?

1) Visuals, lighting, and special effects are stunning.

2) Makeup and costumes are in-fact too realistic and horrifying and at some point has you wondering whether these horrible creatures are actors or real zombies!! Well done Arianna Del Cero!

3) The story is gripping and certainly doesn’t get you bored.

4) Music and sound effects are bone chilling.

What's Not There?.

1) The beginning of the movie is quite monotonous.

2) The ending is predictable.

3) It lacks content and would be interesting if there was more of a plot twist involved.

Verdict: Are you curious to enter the minds of die-hard zombie fans? Then this movie is just for you!!
