Plot

Darris Jack is going to publish an article about the untold mystery murder of the popular rapper B. I. G. Russell Poole, a retired Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) detective who was investigating the murder case. Darris went to interview Russell. But Russell is not in a good mood. He refuses to talk about this case. Russell Poole was a famous detective of that time. The murder case of B. I. G. made his life terrible. His family also left him alone when they realized that Russell could not be end his investigation. Darris still tries to interview him by saying that Russell was almost going to finish this case, but the police department made him guilty. After hearing this, Russell finally tells him the truth. Russell could not be able to focus on B. I. G.’s murder because he was investigating the murder of Officer Kevin, who was shot by Officer Frank. Kevin works for Death Row Records, which is a rival group of B. I. G. Sirgeknight, their CEO, who is also a criminal, which means Officer Kevin is involved in criminal activities. A lady tells Sirgeknight that he kills her husband, Kevin. Russell was all confused after hearing this. Who killed Officer Kevin? Who murdered the rapper group B. I. G? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance 

Johnny Depp did an incredible performance in the film. His journeys to find the murderer of Officer Kevin and Rapper group B. I. G. was awesome. His detailing of the character was outstanding. His acting and dialogue delivery were perfect. One would love him after watching this movie. That much impact he made in the whole film. Forest Whitaker did a fantastic performance in the movie. He shows the nature of a true journalist. His detailing and enthusiasm to know the real truth of the case was outstanding. His acting was factual and natural. Neil Brown Jr. did a remarkable performance in the film. One would hate him after watching movie. That much impact he made in the film. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors. 

Analysis

The storyline of the movie was great, thrilling, interesting, and suspenseful —the film focus on the central theme of corruption. The film is based on real-life incidents and the untold mystery of B. I. G.’s death. The suspenseful nature of the movie is maintained from the start till the end. The storyline in the film was interesting. The direction, cinematography, and costume design were perfect in the film. The journey of a police officer trying to prove himself is shown in the film. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were excellent.
