CAST & CREW
Cowboys & Aliens is an American film directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Kurtzman, & Rosenberg. A unique plot is what this movie has. It did receive a lot of success. The story revolves around aliens, spaceships, horses, a bartender and much more. Here, humanity is shown in danger, and the Cowboys of the West seem to save the world.
Plot: The movie begins with Daniel Craig (Jake Lonergan) waking up in the middle of a strange desert with no memory of whatsoever happened, and he is unable to recall anything. The only and the sole clue he has from his past is the wrist bracelet that he has. He eventually discovers the people of Absolution don’t welcome strangers; neither do they entertain them until & unless they get an order by the Harrison Ford (Colonel Dolarhyde), a town indeed known for the fear they possess.
But the city soon starts to face its fate, when a group of aliens comes down to attack the city. They start to abduct each and every person and plan on torturing them as well. Jake, the apparent stranger, is the only living hope for these helpless people, and they start getting dependent on him. This gunslinger gradually starts recalling his true identity; he also calls Oscar Wilde (Ella) who is a traveler. Dolarhyde and his boys, also come to assist the same. They all try to defeat their common enemy. It will be a good sight to see this interesting piece of writing.
Analysis: Mark Fergus, Hawk Ostby, and Steve Oedekerk are the writers of Cowboys and Aliens which is a Science fiction. The pattern of the story is real good and innovative. The Cinematography done by Matthew Libatique is commendable. The direction seems to be enthralling as well. As usual, the aliens show no signs of intelligence. The Spaceships give a very old-fashion vibe, the equipment used in the movie should have been more on the contemporary side. Overall a well- directed film.
Star Performances: Daniel Wroughton Craig, an English actor with substantial acting skills and he, trained himself at the National Youth Theatre. He played the character of a person who is suffering from Amnesia; this character needs a pinch of reality which is added by Daniel. The other two, Harrison Ford and Oscar Wilde act well too, and they support Daniel’s role. They make a wise team together.
1. A captivating Science Fiction.
2. The implementation of the Cinematography is done right.
What’s not there?
1. The movie should have been available in 3-D as well.
2. It can get a little monotonous.
Verdict: An innovative piece of work.
