Plot

There is an ultra-leftist Revolutionary Cells terrorist, with Wilfried Böse and Brigitte Kuhlmann as members. They hijacked Air France Flight 139 on 27 June 1976. This led to a real alert and made Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and defence minister Shimon Peres panic. A female passenger escaped from it by saying that she suffered a miscarriage. This results in Böse releasing her at a refueling stop at Benghazi. The terrorist group decided to take the plane to Entebbe, Uganda, on 28 June. There they meet up with terrorists from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. They both grouped and executed this hijack plan. Ugandan dictator Idi Amin is also with the terrorist. The safety of passengers on the flight is in danger. Peres and Lt Gen. Motta Gur, who is the chief of staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), are told to make a military operation to rescue the hostages in the flight. The terrorist group is making separate groups for Israeli and non-Israeli hostages. What will happen to these hostages?  Will Peres and Gur will able to save the hostages? What is the plan of the terrorist group?  Why are they hijacking the project? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Daniel Brühl, as Wilfried Bose, did an incredible performance in the film. His journey to hijack the plan and take passengers as hostages was brilliantly portrayed. His detailing of the character was outstanding, especially his acting was perfect. Rosamund Pike, as Brigitte Kuhlmann, did a fantastic performance in the movie. She shows the nature and mindset of a terrorist group. Her fearless and boldness in her character was perfect for this role in the film. Eddie Marsan, as Shimon Peres, was excellent in his position. His acting was factual and natural. One would like his critical thinking and boldness after watching this movie. She that much impact she made in the whole film. Lior Ashkenazi, as Yitzhak Rabin, did a remarkable performance in the movie. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.

Analysis

The storyline of the film was great, exciting, and thrilling. The film focuses on the central theme of how a terrorist group hijacked a plane and how hostages were rescued. The film is based on the story of Operation Entebbe. The thriller nature of the film is maintained from the start till the end. The documentation of actual instances was not perfectly captured throughout the movie. The storyline and theme in the film were good but lacked in the a well-structured script. The action scenes were poorly structured in the film, which made a poor impression on the movie. The thrilling journey of the rescue of hostages was depicted in the film. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were excellent.
