The brothers get separated; the elder brother is obsessed with winning a local motocross championship and meeting his younger brother who is placed in the relatives.

Plot: The family consists of dad Hollis and the two sons. Hollis’s wife is dead; leaving behind her dream that relocating to Galveston will give the family a fresh start. Hollis tries to fulfill her dream by driving 40 miles to Galveston and work on their wrecked house. Meanwhile, his sons rage free. It's not that Hollis doesn’t care about his children, he cares but he is preoccupied with his own misery and loss, not to state alcoholism, has made him unable to take care of them or himself. Jacob was trashing a pickup truck with his group of allies he calls "the crew.”

Jacob is in charge of his younger brother. But he is too immature to be a caretaker; he has already been positioned in a juvenile detention program, he is kept under supervision. And if he doesn’t change his behavior he will have to spend the rest of his adolescence in the lockup. Ominously, Jacob begins to engage Wes in the criminal nighttime of "the crew". Hollis filled up with his own pain, and perhaps continuing guilt about sliding into a drunken daze following his wife's death, is seemingly oblivious of just how bad things have gotten. His residence is a total muddle. Beer cans heap up on the counter. He gives Jacob a lecture on this whole crew thing that happened, but he doesn’t give his wholesome attention on his sons., His wife's sister, Pam, is anxious. She tries to converse to Jacob, but there is slight she can actually do. Watch the movie to understand what happens with Jacob.

Analysis: "Hellion" covers the well-known ground. The element of the freshness has to do with the drama particularly Josh Wiggins. He is playing the lead role in the film, and he gives a developed beautifully complex and wrenching performance, completely certain in all of its aspects, not showing any hint of amateurism. The final section is filled with suspense and ends up seeming to a scheme, a forceful way to end the story with not so satisfying ending. In an instant, the movie becomes plot-driven from character-driven, and it's this biggest drawback of the movie. But, by this time, the actual work of the film has already been completed.

Stars Performance: Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad") plays an alcoholic, emotionally distant, broken widower who has to deal with the upbringing of his two sons when he can hardly make it through a day. This is definitely a varied character for Mr. Paul, and he has done justice with his character. Just like Paul, the young Josh Wiggins as Jacob has given a fantastic performance. It's his first screen role, and he totally owns the role of the big brother pouring out at his dad, debasing his little brother (due to jealousy) and dealing with things that brood his age shouldn't have to.

What’s there?

1) The realism in “Hellion” is admirable.

2) It consists of soulful and sensitive characters filled with sympathy.

3) The Writer- Director Beautifully Expand the movie by maintaining the suspense throughout regarding the death of the mother.

What’s not there?

1) Hellion is a movie which appears to be dull and heart-breaking.

2) A little change would have helped the movie to stand aside the usual flicks.

Verdict: People who like short films with deep meaning will definitely enjoy the movie.
