Plot

When Count Dracula and his friends are on a train in disguise, Dracula’s arch nemesis, Professor Abraham Van Helsing, uncovers them. Hence Dracula has to throw them out of the train to save them. Professor tries many times to destroy Dracula but fails every time.

This time, Drac and his friends set out on a cruise ship to spend some good times. There Dracula sees Erika and falls in love with her. But she is Helsing’s great-granddaughter. So, she secretly aims to kill Dracula. But cannot do it. When they go on a date after Dracula asks her to, Erika too falls in love with him. Initially, Helsing and Erika had planned to eliminate all monsters by using an Instrument of Destruction in Atlantis ruins. The instrument releases a Kraken on the monsters, Dracula tries to stop it and gets injured. Erika jumps in to save Drac. This angers the professor, and he attacks them both. Finally, Johnny plays good songs and pacifies the Kraken to give the movie it’s happy ending.

Star Performance

Adam Sandler brings his comedic charm as Count Dracula. Selena Gomez gives Mavis her energetic youthfulness. Jim Gaffigan adds a comedic flair to the role of Abraham Van Helsing, aka Professor, and the supporting cast all give excellent performances.

Analysis

"Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation" due to its vibrant animation makes it a good watch for the viewers. Although the stories, jokes and writing are a bit repetitive, it is the exact same reason why kids find solace in watching these types of films. The story lacks any real emotional connection with the viewers (if you are an adult wanting to see the movie). The most vital part of the film is its voice actors and their comedic sense, which makes this film worth a watch in the first place.
