Have you imagined what would happen if someone could invade deep inside your head and know about all your hidden secrets?

This movie is a psychological thriller revolving around the life of Dom Cobb, who is an expert in corporate espionage as he and his partner, Arthur can delve into people’s minds and extract hidden information from them, by stealing into their dreams. However, he also has a very dark past and the only way he can overcome that and go back to his life again is to take on a client for whom he would have to do the opposite of what he does – implant a new idea into the mind of his victim instead of extracting anything. He sets off for this complicated new mission with his team of specialists and they soon realize that in spite of all their preparations, they are up against something they could not have foreseen.

There are way too many exciting things to look for in this movie, such as anti-gravity action sequences, insane dreams with paradox staircases and where you can fold the surface of the ground upwards and see all the buildings in the street fold with it, the tense scenes where you can literally feel yourself getting more and anxious with each passing second. The phenomenal performance by DiCaprio is what makes the movie so much more emotional and deep, along with great support by Gordon-Levitt and Page.

Some scenes portraying the complexity of the dream within a dream situation – where you can see a van full of sleepers slowly falling off a bridge at the same time as an elevator full of people is blasting down in full speed and also the floor of a building collapsing because a bomb is going off below it – might be a little hard for some people to grasp at the first watch. Nevertheless, the thoughtfulness and the uniqueness of this movie are simply unmatchable.

To another superb work of Christopher Nolan, with an impeccable ending, and an amazing experience you carry in your minds for long after, I would give Inception, 5 out of 5 popcorn tubs.
