The movie was divided into five parts, explaining the global financial crisis in the year 2008, due to the underlying system that remained unchanged. It highlighted the alteration of the financial industry that subsequently leads into crisis in the long run.

Plot:

First part:
The first plot explains about the deregulation after the year 1980 and the consolidation of financial sector into a few giant firms in the late 1990’s. It also shows how the investors ruptured when the promoted Internet companies by the investment banks failed, which result in their big losses. The society had been dominated by few supreme groups including banks, insurance companies, etc.

Second Part:

The second part shows how the companies had managed to make huge profits by making the investors buy some CDOs even of low-quality and increasing the market value of CDOs.

Third Part:

The CDOs collapsed at the market, and the investment banks were left in debt. This part shows how the crisis took place and how several companies faced bankruptcy, resulting in a large number of unemployment and loss of money for the citizens.

Fourth Part:

The fourth part shows the effects of the crisis and the results of it were discussed in the film. Though they were facing some serious crisis, there are still many companies that opposed reforms for regulations.

Fifth Part:

How the economic policies of the present government of the U.S.A. had grown weak? How do the workers face these problems while losing their jobs?
Everything was clearly explained.

Analysis:

The movie tells the crisis systematically, but it cannot be easily understood without better knowledge about the economic terminologies. However, it can be understood by researching such terms even while watching the movie, though. The direction is good, and the movie reveals some major flaws in the government which result in crisis.

What’s there?

1. The movie analyses clearly why many are facing a crisis from the year 2007 to 2008 in the U.S.A., which results in unemployment and money losses.
2. It was narrated by Matt Damon, a prominent actor, and filmmaker.
3. It’s a good documentary film to watch.

What’s not there?

1. The movie has some adult content which is not necessary for the film and could have been avoided.

Verdict:

Inside Job..an outstanding effort.
