Plot:
Directed by Kenneth Branagh’s, the movie traces the journey of Jack Ryan relating to the aftermath of 9/11. Jack is the character created by Tom Clancy’s book. Jack is an economy analyst  who is appointed by the CIA to explore the threat to the U.S economy. The mission leads to him going to a series of places to abide by his duties, where he discovers a Russian plot which has  consequences ranging from Wall Street collapsing to other disastrous consequences.
In the bid to protect his country, everything including his life is at stake. The movie is pillared by other characters like Harper, who guides him during his time in CIA, his girlfriend
Keira Knightley

, and the villianViktor. The film has a tentative storyline about the old Russian threat plot that lingers.
Analysis:
The film being an action thriller has its part of the edge of the seat scenes, but its exploiting a genre that has already been tried and tested in the past and hence becomes boring in parts. The direction is indulgent and stands on its own.Â

The film won’t make you regret, as it delivers what it promises along with patches of brilliance which come and go.
What’s not there?
Bringing newness  to the plate is where the movie stammers. Its somewhere between neither disappointing  nor overwhelming.
Verdict:
Don’t watch the movie with expectations  and you ll not just be surprised but also engaged and enthralled.
