.' Though the business was good, there were some unruly customers, who created some ruckus. So as to control them, Joe makes a contract with Sergio Peris- Mencheta, who does the role of a heavyweight boxer. In spite of the age difference, Sergio lures and impresses Helen. The story ends with the consequences that occur when Joe gets to know about the affair between Helen and Sergio.
ANALYSIS: The director was lucky enough to set up a great cast for the movie. But he was not sure on what to do with them. The screenplay was so poor that the characters repeated certain dialogues many times. This movie looks like an unusual interest that is portrayed as a series, but with a great detail and good length. It is dubiously portrayed that Helen is still in love with Pesci. But the marriage between them was simply a business. The director fails in maintaining the pace of the movie.
STAR PERFORMANCES: Helen gives a performance that seemed to be forced throughout the movie. The chemistry between her and Pesci was non-existent. Gina Gershon maintains her looks well. However, she fails in delivering a zestful performance. Mencheta gave an overemotional performance. Unfortunately, he was the only person in the movie to give a lively performance.
WHAT'S THERE? The appearance and the setup of the brothel look real. One could get the real effect on how a real brothel will be through this movie.
WHAT'S NOT THERE? This movie is a wonderful attempt in creation. Except the characters, it lacked almost everything from the direction to the screenplay
VERDICT: A movie that is totally misfitted for the big screen.
