The American movie Mr. Peabody & Sherman hit the screens in 2014. The movie was made in 3D. The movie uses the technique of computer animation. The movie falls into the category of comic science fiction movie. Rob Minkoff directed the movie. The movie’s producers are Alex Schwartz and Denise Nolan Cascino. The voiceovers are by Ty Burrel, Ariel Winter Ariel Winter is counted as one among Hollywood’s y >> Read More... , and Max Charles. Ty Burrell Ty Burrell, whose full name is Tyler Gerald "Ty" B >> Read More... has given the voiceover for Mr. Peabody, Max Charles has given the voiceover for Sherman, and Ariel Winter has given the voiceover for Penny.

Plot: Mr. Peabody is the most successful of the canine species. He has a boy named Sherman. Both of them have access to a time machine named Wabac that they use to take up dizzying adventurous journeys. But, one fine day, Sherman uses the time machine Wabac without his father’s assent. He does it to impress his girlfriend, Penny. Sherman makes an inadvertent mistake by causing a hole in the universe. The hole causes chaos in the world, and there is a danger of history getting altered. Not alone that, all the three dimensions of time are in danger of getting changed.

The idea behind the movie is appealing and there moments to be relished in the movie. The opening scene has got a wonderful son that meaningfully exploits John Lennon’s song ‘Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)’. The moments in history have been projected on the screen. The time machine travels way back to Ancient Egyptian Empire in 1332 B.C. Also, it stretches to the French Revolution that happened in 1793. The movie is an innovative effort and proves to be a fun for kids. The movie is well-knit and holds appeal for audiences falling into any age category. There are some cunning remarks better understood by grownups, and the movie appeals to children also. Any movie has its flaws and the movie also discussed has got one. The director seems to have dealt with the time-machine idea in an exaggerated manner. But, present day children are way ahead of their time, and the flaw seems minuscule.

Verdict: The movie is a once in a while opportunity which should not be missed by grownups and children alike.
