The plot revolves around the characters of Grace and Wade Walker. Wade Walker and Grace have been living together for more than a year. Walker is interested in her and wants to enter the wedlock with her. But, Grace appears hesitant to let her family know of her boyfriend, Craig. When Grace is in a party at her parents’, Walker plans to please her family and put a ring on her finger. But, Walker’s plan deviates from the normal course, and he lands up in a mess. The only option left for him is to talk to Grace’s father. Wade Walker is in for a shock as Grace’s family is not what he imagined it to be.

Wade is the usual character that pops up just in time to do noble deeds. But still, the movie is a surprising treat for audiences from Tyler Perry. Before the release of Tyler Perry’s movies, the movies are usually not shown to the critics for review. But, the movie Peeples is an exception, and it was screened for critics. The screening proves that there is something different in the movie than Tyler Perry’s stereotyped movies. Tyler Perry was just the producer of the movie. But, throughout the movie, there is a reminder that it is his movie. The so-called comedy begins with a song about excrescences. The story unfolds in such a way that it reveals imperfections throughout. But, issues with the movie itself are more glaring. Director Tina Gordon Chism, who did the screenplay and direction, seems to have come out with disgusting humor. The twists in the movie are very silly and predictable. It relates the usual story of a man wooing his woman. The actors in the movie are good ones with plenty of potentials. But, a great actor as Robinson deserves a better chance than this movie.

Verdict: Audiences deserve a better movie from Tyler Perry. The movie would prove a disappointment for the weekend.
