Plot:
There was a war that ignited against Europe in Italy in the year 1994. There existed Tuskegee Airmen, a squadron made up of Black pilots. They were severely underestimated and discriminated on the ground and ironically, an opportunity presented itself in front of them to prove their mettle in the sky by participating and fighting in the war.
This movie is made as a tribute to the heroes who gave up their lives for the war and became unsung martyrs. The movie has a very impressive cast, especially the black men. But the major drawback of the movie is an absence of women characters which seems rather peculiar and eccentric
It is also of greater astonishment to see that there are numerous amounts of fallacies, both technically and also in the storyline. The movie also lacks in ground sequences and only concentrates on air sequences. However, there are no second thoughts about the fact that these aerial sequences are out of the world and extremely mesmerizing.
The dialogues in the movie seem very artificial and stilted which is a major turn-off as this gives a cheap feel to the movie. More often than not, there were scenes in the movie that were totally uncalled for and, therefore, were a huge misfit.
The one thing that gives this movie a blissful feel to it are the visual effects as well as the sound effects that are employed in the movie. The plot revolves around true historical events, and this fact should’ve made the movie extremely intense and brilliant in itself. But the most disappointing part of the movie is that this movie isn’t able to bring the essence of the history out despite it being founded on true instances.Â
Verdict:
This movie shall bring the unsung heroes back to life and also mesmerize you with its flying sequences that shall make it an average watch despite the fallacies.
