Plot

Alex and Nathan, who are a couple, meet another couple on a trip. Another two guys also accompany them, and they all start a Slasher Sleepout. It is like an escape room plus a haunted house and camping combined. Their personal items are confiscated, and they have no connection with people outside the camp. They must solve puzzles to move forward, and with one wrong move, they will die. Will they escape safely? Why did they go to such a dangerous camp?

Star Performance

Alex’s character was fascinating to watch. She hates horror themes but does it for her boyfriend. That is why she reluctantly goes to this camp. When she sees people dying for real, she intelligently gets past the riddles. We can see her secretive side, and Marcienne does an excellent at this.

Analysis

Every character has their secrets, and we see twists every ten minutes. We might have some questions like who is behind all this? Why did they come to the camp? Some questions are answered, while some are left to the audience.

What’s There?

• Though we have many movies with the same concept, the twists are unique.

What’s Not There?

• The movie is focused more on Alex and her flashback. It would have been nice if we knew the backstory of every character.

Verdict

A new type of horror movie with unexpected twists and worth watching.
