The movie is intertwined with fantasy and comedy. It is the fourth sequel to the Shrek Series. The movie is a production by DreamWorks Animation. The movie had a screening at the Film Festival in 2010. The movie was released in the cinemas by Paramount Pictures in America. The movie is a follow-up to Shrek the Third.

Plot: The opening scene shows Shrek as a man bound to his family. The villagers hold a very high regard for him. He longs to regain the repute. He strikes a deal with Rumpelstiltskin, and even before he knows, Rumpelstiltskin vanishes. Shrek wants to prod him back to existence. Shrek has to get back to his happy life, but for that, he has to exchange kisses with Fiona before sunrise. Fiona is not interested in romance. Many among the audiences would have dozed off before the battle in the climax scene happens. The message seems to be an uninteresting truth that one has to count his blessings and know his limits.

The movie appears very frightening to the kids. It lacks the lighter vein that was prominent in the predecessors to the movie. The Studio, which made this animation movie, seems to have gone into some quixotic act. The result is that the moviemakers have come out with a very stale version. The movie lacks that inspiration in it. The movie is mediocre, and those who were drawn to the predecessors of the sequels will find only disappointment in the movie.

Verdict: The movie Shrek Forever After has turned out to be a stale one, and unlike the predecessors, it fails to attract much audience to the theaters.
