The movie Shut Up and Play the Hits is a 2012 movie and is a documentary about music bands. The movie is about music troop LCD Sound System that prepares for the best concert at Madison Square Garden. The movie is a direction by Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern.

James Murphy, an artist in the documentary film, is an expert in music and knows the targeted audience well. LCD Sound System played its final show on 2nd of April 2011, and Murphy was boosting the show from behind. The show was staged in Madison Square Garden. James Murphy is the frontrunner in LCD. He had always wanted to make the best performance. The tickets for the entertaining concert had already sold out. Many audiences are attracted to the concert, and the show wins acclaim among the media.

The movie depicts how Murphy steers his way through difficulties as he stages the concert. Murphy as the frontrunner in the band decides to disperse the band after a successful show. The movie has a good portrayal of concert performers. It takes care that sentiments do not prove nagging. But at the same time, the characters are tightly bound to each other. The band performers headed by Murphy do not perform much on the podium, and the sound of the concert takes over. The character Murphy pops out on screen as an amiable man.

He makes an appearance with his dog, walking his way across the street. The plot revolves mainly around the concert, and the camera swiftly zooms over some onstage performers. The camera work is commendable. The show hit screens in few theaters on a single day show targeting select audiences. But it started drawing crowds eventually. Also, there is perennial demand for such bands although such bands vanish in due course. The flick Shut Up is worthwhile to watch. There is something very bizarre about the band in the movie that has been captured well by the directors.
