Plot

There was accountant Casey who was bullied by a motorcycle gang.  He decided to change his timid and awkward behavior. He visited a dojo where the owner called himself “Sensei.”He was impressed by the trial class and decided to join it. He was weak, but Sensei loved his determination to become powerful. There was a strange rule in the dojo, which are making him a promoting toxic masculinity.  He started seen at pornography during his work, having fights with his boss, and listening to loud, angry music. What will happen to Casey? What is these strange rules? Will Casey  able to escape from toxic masculinity? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Jesse Eisenberg, as Casey Davies, did an incredible performance in the film. Her journey to depicting how he becomes a stereotypical toxic male in the movie. His acting was to the point. Everything about his character was played in the movie. Imogen Poots, as Anna, was brilliant in the movie. Her detailing of the character was outstanding. She did a fantastic performance in the movie. She shows the nature of a young girl who loves the dojo and, at the same time, was mistreated in the dojo. She warns the main lead about the toxic masculinity in the dojo and helps him to escape it. Her acting was factual and natural. One would hate Alessandro Nivola, as Sensei, after watching this movie. That much impact he made in the whole film. His appearance as the a toxic male was scary, horrifying, and, at the same time, creepy. He was fantastic in his role of toxic male. He did a remarkable performance in the film. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.

Analysis

The storyline of the film was great, creepy, funny, and entertaining. The film focus on the central theme of toxic masculinity in our society. The film is showing about how people look at marital arts. Stereotypical masculinity was the highlight of the film. The film has a great storyline. The script was well structured and framed. The dark humor in the movie was perfect. The film has a great message and theme for the audience. It is compared to David Fincher’s Fight Club Click to look into! >> Read More... . While comparing, it lacks the humor. The film had a fresh theme which makes it unique. The overall concept is perfectly framed. The direction and cinetomagraphy were fitted to the scenes in the movie. The dark comedy nature of the film is maintained from the start till the end. The adventurous journey of the male lead discovering the male toxicity and then aborting it is demonstrated in the movie. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were excellent in the film.
