Plot

The film’s protagonists are Harriet, played by Uma Thurman, and Peter, played by Tim Roth, a con artist couple. The couple cons people to live a luxurious life. They owe a lot of money to a dangerous criminal, Irina, played by Maggie Q, and devise a plan to steal a priceless jewel from Peter’s ex-wife Jackie, played by Alice Eve. The film follows the couple’s heist to steal the gem and the unexpected obstacles they must face to succeed in their plan.

Star Performance

The film’s storyline is weak and predictable. The characters are also very one-dimensional. Uma Thurman and Tim Roth’s impressive acting is the only saving grace for the film. Some side characters, such as Crispin Glover, who plays Gabriel Anderson, and Parker Posey, who plays Gina deliver good performances.

Analysis

The film’s plot is not well-executed. The actors’ performances are also quite mediocre. The plot is rickety and full of clichés.
