The movie The Conjuring adheres to the standards of a horror movie. The movie’s story is supposedly based on real-life events. The plot revolves around a creepy house, possession by evil, and, of course, has scenes with exorcists in it. There are no bloody scenes in the movie, the characters involved in the movie are not killed except for a dog. The movie scares the wits out of the audience. The plot revolves around the two main characters Ed and Lorraine Warren, who were dealing with paranormal activities in real life. The movie is supposed to have drawn inspiration from lives of real-life exorcists Ed and Lorraine Warren. The movies as Saw and Insidious directed by James Wan won the hearts of audiences during the last decade. The movie ‘Conjuring’ by the very same director has lots of maturity in it. The movie could have been better if it had opted for better actors since it has plenty of scares in dark basements. Chad and Carey Hayes are the screenplay writers for the movie. They were the screenplay writers for umpteen horror movies. They have taken pains following the failure of their previous flicks. The previous movies for which they developed screenplay were not up to the standards.
Review: The movie is, of course, a seat-edge thriller and is worthwhile for those who prefer horror flicks.
