CAST & CREW
The gist of the story essentially is that a guy named Church assigns Barney Ross to get a secret thing from the Soviet Union and no one knows what that thing is. It is only later that we come to know that this secret thing is the location of Plutonium Storage mine in Russia. Church also sends a help for Barney named Maggie.
They together look for this secret commodity only to know that a guy named Vilain who runs a gang called The Sangs has acquired it. Barney makes sure to hunt this villain named Vilain down and procure this precious and secret thing. This move has an almost non-existent storyline. You may sometimes feel impatient at the arbitrariness of the script and story.
The comic content in the movie is misplaced, out of content and rather excruciating. This movie had an array of amazingly renowned and veteran actors in it. Despite this strong cast, they didn’t feel somewhat right in the context. They seemed rather too old for a story like this and felt very unfortunate and sad. This movie wasn’t anywhere close to being an action flick that is smart or polished.
The fight scene that marked the climax of the movie gave a feel of it being very amateur. The cinematography is extremely disappointing too and makes you feel that the movie is made within a constricted budget. Nevertheless, the movie has its share of violence and action sequences, and this becomes a bliss for all the people who have a knack for action cinema.
Despite all its flaws and shortcomings, this movie is a must watch for all the people who are a die-hard fan of flicks full of action and violence, and they find themselves in a heavenly realm by reliving the 80s through Silvester Stallone in his form.
This movie should be in the list of must watch movies for all those who are a fan of action cinema and Sylvester Stallone in particular.
