It’s a 3D action film written by Sean Hood and directed by Renny Harlin. This film is about the story of a Greek mythical hero, who is betrayed by his father, and sold into slavery, but then the hero fights back to save his kingdom.

Plot-

In ancient Greece 1200 B.C., Queen Alcmene (Roxanne McKee) surrenders to Zeus with a hope to bear a son who will protect and restore the peace of the land. Zeus told her to name him Hercules. Twenty years later, Hercules ( Kellan Lutz One of the most celebrated and “hottie” superstar >> Read More... ) and his elder brother are attacked by Lion; Hercules fights and kills the Lion. His elder brother, Iphicles (Liam Gargan), takes all the credit and seeing his fake bravery, The King, Amphitryon ( Scott Adkins Scott Adkins (Scott Edward Adkins) is an English a >> Read More... ), announces the engagement of his daughter Hebe with Iphicles. Hercules is in love with Hebe (Gaia Wiss). Knowing nothing about his real identity, he day and night dreams of Hebe only. Hercules is sent away to Egypt for a military camp.

Hercules joins the command of Captain Sotiris ( Liam McIntyre Liam Mcintyre is an exceptional personality who ha >> Read More... ) in the desert. Sotiris and Hercules are sold off to the promoters of the Gladiator style of fighting (in which they excel) as slaves. They fight with six undefeated Gladiators; when Sotiris gets injured, Hercules decides to fight alone.

Queen Alcmene and Hebe thought that Hercules is no more, but Hercules is alive. He returns to Greece after defeating all the gladiators. Hebe is suffering from anxiety, as she is running away from her marriage and tries committing suicide, but Chiron (Rade Serbedzija), saved her and brought her to Hercules. Iphicles is surprised knowing that Hercules has been the real savior. Hercules and Sotiris raise their army and attack The King Amphitryon, and forge their destiny.

Analysis-

This movie has no strong storyline. Unnecessary fighting sequences, which only extend the movie. The detailing of the characters is missing in the film. Nevertheless, the big sets and costumes were attractive.

Star performances-

Everyone tried doing drama according to their characters, but the natural essence of a few moments was missing, especially in the love scenes and grief scenes.

What’s there?

It’s difficult to count the good things in the movie, because rarely there was any.

What’s not there?

Balance between the story and the fighting sequences was missing, which is required to understand the movie.

Verdict-

I would suggest reading a book on fantasy instead of watching this movie.
