Hunt was lauded for her performance in the movie and became the nominee for two awards. The movie ‘The Sessions’ does not deviate off its course, and is very moving for words. It is a funny story about how people waver between dignity and sexuality. The movie draws inspiration from the writer’s experience of polio attack during childhood. The attack forced him to carry an iron lung, and he is paralyzed down the body. His sexuality is not hindered, and he gets a sexual erection.Â
John Hawkes does the character of Mark. He is a pleasant person with a strong will. He mistakes his caretaker’s affection for love. But, she discards him. So, he hires a sex surrogate after a lengthy counseling by a priest.Â
