Plot

Amanda Waller, the Intelligence Officer, forms two teams, including the Suicide Squad. Corto Maltese is an island nation, where the government loses its power and one of the Suicide Squad is sent there to destroy the Jutunheim lab of the Nazis. Project Starfish is their secret mission. While one of the teams is managed by Rick Flag, the other is by Bloodsport. In the attack, Harley Quinn escapes and finds out the plan behind the attack. She was taken as a captive and Project Starfish’s chief scientist Thinker was also caught. Both the teams had a tough fight with Corto Maltese’s military. During this, the explosives are set to explode before the scheduled time and that leads to commotion. Who is killed and who is alive after the war? Were they successful in destroying the Project Starfish? The rest of the film deals with it.

Star Performance

Margot Robbie, Idris Elba, John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, and Viola Davis are perfect in their roles. Sylvester Stallone’s voice as King Shark is perfect.

Analysis

The sequences are arranged perfectly to attract the Suicide Squad fans. The director retained the same stars from the previous version and brought the newbies Idris Elba, John Cena as Peacemaker, Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, and David Dastmalchian to the story and it is good to watch their performances. The screenplay and direction are good. Even though the film crosses the runtime of 2 hours, it is the screenplay that made the audience fixed to their seats. The dialogues are fantastic too. The action sequences are well-choreographed and shot. The VFX works are impressive and the film is appealing well.

Verdict

Suicide Squad is a good film for action lovers. With the pacy screenplay and narration, the director made the film an interesting watch. If you are an action fanatic, who wants to enjoy some VFX works in stunt sequences, then this is your cup of tea!
