. Anna Faris is as usual freaking awesome with her comedy timings. It’s classic romantic comedy with girls following their ex-boyfriends to find their perfect match who got away.
The whole team of the film is creative and extremely talented; however, it ends up being a bit cliché and boring. Anna Faris is a great comedian; she has the looks, enthusiasm, and the charm, but she could have used all these skills for a better project. For the sake of female protagonists, "What’s your number", is a dorky comedy with failed attempts and turn up as vulgar and outrageous. In a nutshell, it’s about a stupid magazine article that describes how a woman had fun with 20 guys and then stays alone forever. Now, this article makes the reader women think that their lives are going to be the same.
Nothing in the movie is original or fresh or extremely funny. Though, Anna Faris’s performance somehow amends. She is the protagonist and no doubt on her skills, but she needs a good screenplay to showcase all her talents. She appears to be locked-up in this dumb film. The actors do not sink, the direction has its own loopholes and in the middle of all this chaos, Faris seems stuck.
Verdict: Overall, this film could have been shot well and also presented well but the flaws overpowered the little talent here.
