Analysis: Bhushan Patel’s debut as a director proves his mettle in directing chilling moments in the movie. Cinematography excels especially in capturing the beauty of Sweden in its lens. Songs are okay but misplaced in the film. Star Performances Aftab Shivdasani comes up with a reasonable performance but loses his way in the second half. Tia Bajpai pulls off the act of possessed women with extreme ease. Vidya Malvade does a decent job in a brief role.
1. Tia’s Performance.
2. Stunning Cinematography.
3. Makeup and Prosthetics.
What’s not there?
1. Flawed Writing.
2. Disappointing Second Half.
3. Slightly Clichéd such as creaking doors, isolated mansions, long and abandoned passages.
4. Average Background Music.
Verdict: 1920- Evil Returns spooks in bits and parts. Worth a One Time Watch.
