When you hear that a a movie is made on the lives of underprivileged musicians from the streets of Mumbai then you feel like watching it. Well, Banjho is one such film which delves into the lives of such musicians. Now let’s see whether this film strikes the right chord with us.

Plot

Star Performances

Riteish Deshmukh’s forte is comedy and he does that well. However, he is not convincing in the romantic sequences. Nargis Fakhri struggles to give the required depth to the character.

Analysis

It’s nice that Deshmukh has acted in a sole hero movie but unfortunately his talent is not exploited the fullest by the famous Marathi director Ravi Jadhav He is a renowned Indian film personality; he was b >> Read More... . The director has not executed the movie to its fullest sense and the duration only tires us. However, the director should be appreciated for building a genuine seaside village backdrop.

What’s there?

The members of the band try their best to tickle your humor bones.
The street slang provides the movie the much required humor.
Vishal’s Shekhar’s music elevates street music a bit higher.

What’s not there?

Certain dialogues are not at all funny, only irritates us.
The chemistry between Riteish and Fakhri is not quite appealing.

Verdict

The movie throws light on the lives of the self-learned street musicians who sometimes possess much talent than accomplished musicians. In that sense the movie should be appreciated.
