The movie Bluff Master is a romantic comedy flick directed by Rohan Sippy and produced by Ramesh Sippy. The film features Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, and Ritesh Deshmukh in the lead roles. The storyline is said to resemble the Argentinian film Nine Queens. At the initial stages of the movie it was planned to have Sanjay Dutt and Aishwarya Rai as the lead but due to some reason it didn’t happen.

Plot:

Roy Kapoor (AbhishekBachchan), is a conman who falls in love with a beautiful girl Simi (PriyankaChopra) and she too falls in love with him. Their memorable journey ends in the engagement of both where the true colour of Roy Kapoor is revealed and he loses Simi. He suffers from tumor and believed to live only for three months. He is frustrated due to their break up and meets a new person in his life Dittu (Ritesh Deshmukh) who becomes closely associated with Roy and learns the jack of all trade from him. The main goal of him is to help Dittu to get back his property from Chandru ( Nana Patekar) and kill the person who was the reason for his father’s illness. He is struggling between t death and life. What happens at the end forms the rest of the story.

Star Performances:

Abhishek Bachchan’s performance in the movie is sure to one of the best in his career. Priyanka Chopra is apt for the role of a lover and steals the heart of many. The negative shade played by Nana Patekar was excellent. He surely needs a mention. Ritesh Deshmukh in the innocent role has done justice to his role.

Analysis:

The performance by Priyanka and Abhishek was very emotional in the scene where where Simi rejects Roy Kapoor when she knows his profession is conman. She is unable to digest the truth and she throws away the engagement ring out of her finger. The climax of the movie is said to have its adoption from the Hollywood film The Game by Michael Douglas released in the year 1997.

What is there?

1. The flick is a complete entertainer.

2. The background score by Sameeruddin adds liveliness to the story.

3. The title name sounds different with an exclamatory mark.

What is not there?

1. The movie is a mixture of three Hollywood films that does not have its originality.

2. The dialogues and music reminds us of their past work.

Verdict:

The movie can be watched once a while, when the title name strikes hard the movie works in bits and pieces.
