2 / 5.0

Cute Kameena is a youthful entertainer that has hit the screens recently. It was not promoted to a great extent. Let’s see what the movie has in store for us.

Nishant Singh heads to Mumbai from his small native town in Bhopal and stays with his uncle, Piyush Mishra. In fact, Nishant wants to lead a “big” life.
Mishra has not had a good stint being a Bollywood writer. Nishant bounces upon Kirti Kulhari, who essays the role of a South Indian girl. Kirti is a conceited and spoilt girl, and she gets the help of Nishant in escaping from her engagement. While Nishant is smitten by Kirti, the latter apparently doesn’t reciprocate it. There is also the sub-plot of Mishra trying to make a script out of the two youngsters’ love life. Well, watch the movie to know what happens next.

Star Performances

The star cast is not big. This is the debut movie of Nishant Singh and Kirti Kulkarni, who play the leads in the movie. Nishant does some antics to please Kirti, and it is quite watchable. Kirti does an average job as the snobbish girl but the show stealer is undoubtedly Piyush Mishra.

If reports are to be believed Cute Kameena is inspired by real life happenings. The director of the movie, Sai Kabir, could have executed the movie in a better fashion. The story is not convincing enough to keep the audience glued to the seats.

What’s there?

  • The comedy element works only in bits and pieces.
  • The pairing is quite appealing.
  • The music of Krsna is impressive.

What’s not there?

  • There are no commendable twists and turns in the film.
  • The cinematography is not up to the mark.

Cute Kameena is just an ordinary entertainer with good performance by Piyush Mishra.
