CAST & CREW
The movie revolves around the freshly decimated lives of Rahul ( Imran Khan) and Riana ( Kareena Kapoor Khan). Rahul is an ambitious boy leading a very successful life in Las Vegas as an architect, as per the wishes of his eccentric parents. But one day, everything goes downhill for Rahul as he loses his job and refuses to let his parents know about it. In order to get focused, he decides to meet a psychologist and runs into Riana (Kareena Kapoor Khan). After a few misunderstandings and apologies, they end up marrying each other after a night of generous drinking on Christmas Eve. They get it annulled soon after. As the story unwinds, we get to see the complexities of each of their lives. Rahul falls for Riana gradually, as they spend time together in his house since Riana can’t pay her rent due to her unemployment. They get to know each other a bit better. Rahul is revealed to be interested in photography, while Riana recounts her ambition to be a ballet dancer, which was destroyed after she broke her ankle in childhood.
Just as when Cupid is about to strike, we find out that Riana isn’t into Rahul as much as he is into her. They just remain as friends. As another New Year approaches, Riana forces Rahul to visit her parents in India. And as Rahul visits her parents, he elaborately tries to seduce her, with no success. Basically, the story is about an outgoing and enthusiastic girl, and a completely opposite guy, who gets attracted to her. We get to see a lot of these stories, but this one has a fun element to it
Their parents are also well sketched by Boman Irani as the dominating father, and Ratna Pathak as the socialite and fashion-conscious mother. Kareena Kapoor Khan, in one scene, describes Imran Khan as ‘perfectly average’, well, that’s what this movie is too! The music in this movie is also quite impressive, with well known names like Amit Trivedi and Vishal Dadlani. The song ‘Aunty ji’ gained quite a lot of hullabaloo for its funky tune and lyrics. It has all the flavours of a good story. It has the spice of one sided attraction, sweetness of hope, and a bitter-sweet ending. Definitely worth a watch.

What's not there?
1. An ending in which the guy gets the girl.
2. An amazing storyline
This one is a good watch to lighten your mood. Walking out of the movie, you realize that everything in life isn’t planned and that the least expected people could become your friends or lovers.
