CAST & CREW
The film is a combination of suspense and thriller. It is written and directed by Rajeev Jhaveri. The film’s location was Switzerland. Let us look what reviews it has got by the audience.
Plot: Rajeev Khandelwal is in the lead role and playing the character of Armin. He gets injured in a road accident in the hilly areas of Switzerland, and he suffers from Amnesia. He roughly remembers his name and that he belongs from Paris. He gets a visual perception of him committing a murder of a woman named Rhea (Gemma Atkinson). He tries to recollect all the memories and by the time, he meets Kavya ( Gauhar Khan). She becomes his companion and helps him in remembering his past, and also they both fall in love with each other. The story becomes mysterious when it is revealed that Rhea is alive. How these three girls together play the game with Armin and what suspense is shown in the climax forms the whole story.
Analysis: The story is quite complicated and hence becomes useless. It becomes predictable very soon before the story reaches climax. The main concept i.e. the hero losing his memory is seen in many films before so there are bit similarities. However, the director has tried hard in framing the film but failed in dialogues and execution. He has spoiled the script and the concept in building the climax. The film comprises of some good twists and turns, and the thrills were also decent.
Sometimes the dialogues and emotional scenes disappointed the audience. The pace of the movie is intentionally kept slow so that the mysterious mood is maintained in the hilly areas of Switzerland. The stars have done a good job of their parts. The noisy background score and dramatize storyline force the audience to skip this movie. The first half moves at a slow pace, but it picks up the speed in the second half to reveal the climax.
Star Performances: The characters in the lead role are Rajeev Khandelwal as Armin Salem, Gauahar Khan as Kavya Choudhary, Gemma Atkinson as Rhea Wagner, Victor Bannerjee as Dr. David Roy, Caterina Murino as Irina Caro, and Ankita Makwana as Grace Soni. The good actors who used to do nice films have somehow changed their route and started choosing these kinds of films. However, Gauahar Khan and Rajeev Khandelwal have done their best job. They both supported the plot, but the plot failed to support them.
Rajeev has performed the act of Indian Sherlock sincerely. His emotional scenes were amazing. Gauahar Khan also impressed the audience by her peculiar and appealing role. She grasped the opportunity and did not miss a chance to give her best. Gemma Atkinson is a British actress who also appeared glamorous and attractive in some parts. She also became the center of attraction in some scenes. Caterina Murino is like the wasted element in the movie.
What is there? The fans of Rajeev Khandelwal will enjoy his James Bond type of character. The film had a good opening with the cozy scenes shown in the trailer. There are some average thrilling scenes and twists in the story. The visuals of the Switzerland added a plus point in the movie. Also, the performances by the artists are acceptable.
What is not there? The dialogues are dull, and the emotions are very deep. The sentiments in the end have ruined a thriller story. The main concept has some similarities with other films also. The first half moves at a slow pace and pompous narration. The dialogues are the biggest failure of the film.
Verdict: The puzzled and the meaningless title will puzzle audience too. The psychological thriller comes out with a dumb execution. It is better to skip this movie.
