Plot

Shubham is a simpleton from Banaras who journeys to Mumbai to carve a niche for himself. However, he is disappointed by certain thing including culture shock. He tries his best to fructify his dreams. And then he gets married. But his wife leaves him. Why does she leave? Does Fuddu set things straight? Watch the movie to know.

Star Performances

Shubham, who has debuted with this film has given a realistic performance and is the show stealer. He has a onscreen charisma and is one to watch out for. Swati Kapoor does a neat job in her debut film though she has a limited screenspace. Vicky Ahuja is quite endearing. Sunny Leone, Sharman Joshi, and Gauhar Khan appear for a special song. And there is Ranbir Kapoor too narrating a romantic ode.

Analysis

Sunil Subramani has debuted as director with Fuddu. He has opted for a touching subject.

What’s there?

If you are tired of watching the typical commercial films Fuddu proves to be something different.
The filmmaker has used a different concept and this should be appreciated.
The movie shows how the middle class individuals of Mumbai adjust their lives in this busy world.

What’s not there?

The director beats about the bush and does not come to the point directly.
There are some double meaning dialogues in the movie. But it should be noted that the movie falls in this nature.
The screenplay of Fuddu is not upto the mark.
The story of Fuddu is clichéd.
The movie works in bits and pieces.
The editing of Fuddu could have been crisper.

Verdict

Fuddu is a film which has some solid story; but it could have been even more intense.
