When films have a feel-good factor attached to them it is followed by a wow factor. Also such films will be embraced by the audience without any second thought. Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, directed by Sooraj Bharjatya is one such film. Now let’s see what the movie has in store for us.

Salman Khan, whose parents passed away at his early age, is brought up his brother Mohnish Behl and uncle Alok Nath. Mohnish Behl takes care of the family business and his family is all set to hunt for an apt bride. Anupam Kher and Reema Lagoo have two daughters Renuka Shahane and Madhuri Dixit. And to add to the sweet twist, Alok Nath and Anupam Kher know each other well and they bounce upon each other after many years. Thus marriage is fixed between Shahane and Behl. Amidst the grand wedding, Madhuri and Salman have their own share of tiffs, mischiefs etc.

Madhuri, who comes to the house of her sister during her delivery, develops feelings for Salman and so is the latter. What happens next? Will Shahane, who is the only person who knows about their romance, unite them? Watch the movie to know.

Star Performances

Madhuri is simply outstanding in her role of chirpy Nisha who later develops a matured outlook towards life. She also looks gorgeous on screen and her mischiefs with Salman is a treat to watch. Salman Khan, on his part, does his carefree role with great ease. The supporting cast including Alok Nath, Manish Behl, Renuka Shahane, Anupam Kher etc. have done a convincing job.

The film is a musical treat and you will get a feeling as though you are attending a grand wedding. The director has beautifully laced romance with sentiments and humor.

What’s there?

  • The music by Ram-Laxman is soulful.
  • The lyrics by Ravinder Rawal is commendable.
  • Madhuri Dixit is utterly convincing in her role as Nisha.
  • Though there are many songs they don’t hamper the flow of the movie. Only few films have managed to do this.
  • Well, a dog also plays a major part in the movie!
  • The costume designing by Shabina Khan is par excellence.

What’s not there?

For the hardcore critic the movie will seem to be bit dragging but given that it is a feel-good film loaded with great songs it can be forgiven.

Just enjoy the film for its lovely execution….
