A movie dealing with thrill and mystery of FarhaanAkhtar’s life is something which will get you nail biting. Well complemented by Deepika Padukone, this movie reveals the hidden fears of an introvert man.

Plot: Farhaan Akhtar, working in a construction company in Mumbai is a reclusive person all to himself. He is abused by his colleagues and leads a monotonous life. He secretly loves Deepika Padukone who happens to be his co-worker. Life takes a U turn for him when he buys a new handset and receives a call from a male voice similar to his. That mysterious voice directs him to follow whatever instructions given to him. Farhaan later breaks out this secret to Deepika and they together are determined to look into it. Who could that voice be? Remove the cover off this enthralling story to know the truth.

Analysis: Karthik calling Karthik turns out to be an immeasurably watchable movie with good actors. It is a movie with a different kind of a story. Farhaan Akhtar is magnificent and Deepika too carries off her classy role really well. The screenplay is a little too clumpy. Moreover, the film does not turn out well on the thrilling as well as romantic part. A few flaws overtake the best parts leading to be not so good or not so bad as a movie.

Star Performance: After blockbusters like Rock On and Luck by Chance, Farhaan Akhtar has once again imprinted his mark in the field of acting. His impeccable role is amazing.Deepika supports him pretty well. However, we wish she was more in the film. Supporting actors have also done a great job.

What is there?

1. The cinematography is brilliant capturing emotions aesthetically.

2. The “uffteriadaa” song is something you skip your heart beat to.

3. Trendy and classy sense of dressing.

What is not there?

1. A good climax to the plot.

2. Justification to being a drama and thriller.

Verdict: Not watching Karthik calling Karthik isn’t an important call that one misses. It is a pretty one time watch.
