Plot: Set in Chittagong in 1930, the players are refused to play football by the Britishers. This leaves them disappointed, and they reach out to Abhishek Bachchan, who is widower school head master. They join the freedom movement along with him. After a year, he collects a lump sum amount and procures guns, vehicles, ammunitions and inducts two women, one of them being Deepika Padukone. Their plan is to surprise the British by a series of events. Unfortunately, the two women are held back at home by their families and aren’t allowed to take part. Will their plan be successful?
Analysis: The screenplay isn’t up to the mark with a lot of characters being introduced chaotically. The first half of the movie is all set with the background being perfect. Induction of the youth is a smart move making the movie more realistic. The second half has more momentum. The dialogues aren’t witty enough to catch your attention. On the whole, it is a noble history giving you a glance of history.
Star Performance: Abhishek Bachchan has performed incredibly well and has totally gone into the character. Deepika Padukone too has done an outstanding job despite being cast beside big counterparts.

Verdict: A film worth appreciating because of its honest efforts. No glam sham, this movie is perfectly described as a sneak into the historical doings and is definitely a recommended watch.
